Dear Friends:

On behalf of Canaan Children’s Home and Canaan Health Centre, we would like to pass our sincere thanks and appreciation to you all who have worked together to support the people of Uganda in various ways including their health.

We have 100 children between 1 ½   and 18 years at Canaan and over 25 working staff. We thank you very much for the great support of medicine you give to Canaan's Clinic, which helps to treat not only our children but the community. Thank you for your efforts to raise money to buy for us medicine every summer. Even this summer 2006, you have blessed the Clinic with medicine for the children and also medicine for the people from the Buziika community.

Also we appreciate you very much for the great donation of 1000 Mosquito Nets for the Children, Buziika Community, Buziika Church , Jinja Church and the pastors from Mukono District and Njeru Town Council.

It’s amazing now since the people started to use the Mosquito Nets; the number of Malaria cases has decreased in the Clinic. The report from Dr. Godfrey at Canaan Health Centre says that from 20th July, they take a week without getting Malaria patient, but before it was worse. We thank God for that, and we thank you because it’s because you donated the Mosquito Nets. We have also inquired from the Clinics in Njeru Town Council and also they give the same report that the number of Malaria Cases has reduced in the whole Town Council. Also the Town Council Health Officer, Mr.  Mweru has asked us to pass their special thanks to you on behalf of the entire Town Council for the great donation of Mosquito Nets. Mr. Mweru promised to write an official letter to you.

Special thanks from Buziika and Jinja Churches , all the pastors from Mukono and Njeru Town Council who got the Nets, they appreciate so much. In the same way we are glad, Brother Keltonic was able to take some Nets to Gulu, as you know the situation of those people, they really need help. Thanks be to God.

Pass our special thanks to all the Nurses and Doctors and other members who contributed towards the purchase of Medical Supplies and Mosquito Nets

The Children from Gulu are doing much better, they came with different diseases, we have been treating them well and now they are doing well. Some had worms, others had pus in ears, and other health complications. Now they are better due to proper treatment We are still doing our best to cure ear pus problems, if it persists, we shall take those kids to Jinja Hospital .

The children are already in their holiday, we shall be busy with them till September, and we are teaching them various activities.
